Terror in Mumbai: Prayers for those affected

Terror affects everyone; not just those who live in the terror attack zone.  This site is dedicated to the people of India and the people around the world who were affected by the terror attacks in Mumbai.

This is a safe place to leave a thought, prayer, or condolences for those who lost their lives or were injured, as well as the families of the victims of this terror attack.

Let’s not forget the first responders, the police and para-military, that responded to these attacks many of whom also ended up as victims.

This site will be up only for a limited time, and then I hope to respectfully forward the comments to as many families of the victims as possible.

I know this is a busy time of year, so please encourage your friends to stop by and leave their thoughts, because grief doesn’t take a holiday.

Please be respectful of all who post here and remember that this is NOT a political forum.

It is a forum for persons of all faiths to express their feelings and emotions about this horrific event

Consider it a condolence book and post only what you would write if you were attending a funeral or memorial service. Post that are offensive or politcal in nature will be subject to deletion.

Celine Dion and Josh Grobin – The Prayer

I’ll get this started:

My heart goes out to to the victims of this terror attack; to those families who are mourning the loss of a loved one today, and to the families of those who were wounded.  May the Creator help all those hurting in India and around the world to find solace and comfort during this time.

  1. Peace, freedom and civilization were attacked in Mumbai. Americans, Jews, Israelis, and other people were killed but the attacks there were attacks against us all. As Hemingway wrote, ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

  4. Please know that wherever men and women pray and work for peace, they will not forget to say a special prayer for those who breathed their last earthly breath in Mumbai and we mourn with their families.

  6. My heart goes out to all of those who were impacted by this horrible and unnecessary tragedy. I hope that if any good can come out of this, it will be the realization that finding common ground is always preferable to violence.

  8. Thank you, Topher, for this forum…

And for those who have lost their loved ones, for those police officers dealing with such a dangerous situation, and for those medical personnel who serve by taking care of those fallen and wounded, let us remember them, and carry them in our hearts…

  14. Topher,
    What a thoughtful site.

I was moved by your post on my blog–you are obviously a very kind person, a good soul.
I am intrigued by your idea of virtual neighbors…You should blog more about that concept because I think its true and important, but many of us never think of things in those terms until someone else points it out.
I hope you and your spouse are doing well.
